Celebrating a milestone and focusing on the goal!

A gathering on April 20, 2022 celebrated the million dollar donation from Jane and Bill Greene III as well as the acquisition of 16 parcels of land from the City of Buffalo.  

Buffalo Common Council approves the land agreement for Build Promise!

Fillmore Council member Mitchell Nowakowski and Mayor Brown were supported by Council President Pridgen and all of the common council in approving the land development agreement in late March. Build Promise will purchase 16 parcels of vacant, city-owned land on Sycamore at Miller which is across from St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy for the full assessed price of $29,600.”The wait is over!” Kathleen Mattar, Chair of the Build Promise Steering Committee said. “We can now move forward with fundraising to get the shovel in the ground.” These services are desperately needed and the sooner Build Promise is in place, the sooner the people can be served.
