Build Promise, a Project of St. Luke's Mission of Mercy

The Build Promise Community Access Center, a new 22,500 sq. ft. facility on Sycamore Street across from St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy, will be built by and for the East Buffalo Community.

Build Promise will provide 94 shelter beds for homeless men and a Refresh Spot where they will be able to shower and do laundry.  The facility will also serve as a hub for community services such as medical services, mental health counseling, and assistance in linking individuals to other services such as government benefits and job training.

BUILD PROMISE IS FRONT PAGE NEWS!

On Saturday, September 2nd, The Buffalo News published an article describing how our community is tackling the problem of homelessness in Buffalo.  Build Promise and St. Luke’s were prominently featured. Innovating to bring change

A million reasons to be thankful!

The family of Jane and Bill Greene III have made a transformational gift to impact the neediest in Western New York.  Jane Greene has honored her husband Bill Greene III, who passed in 2021, by continuing their legacy of caring for others by donating ONE MILLION DOLLARS to the Build Promise Project.  Thank you!!!

The Build Promise Project

The Build Promise Campaign seeks to raise funds for the construction and associated costs  for a year-round community health and wellness center for the needy. Right now, there are approximately 1,100 homeless people on any given night with the majority of them being men.  At the moment, there are about 190 beds available throughout the city. We look to change that by providing shelter and care for those in need.

Join us as we seek to serve the needy in Western New York
